Reviews Overview

Most Liked

Customers rave about the exceptional quality of the fish and chips, highlighting the crispy batter and fresh taste of the fish. Many agree that Chish’n’fips serves the best mushy peas in the UK, complemented by a variety of sauces that elevate the dish. The portion sizes impress diners, often enough for a satisfying meal for two, sparking opportunities for sharing. The inviting staff fosters camaraderie, making it easy for patrons to strike up conversations while waiting for their orders. Additionally, the casual, family-friendly atmosphere encourages repeat visits, whether for lunch, dinner, or a quick bite.

Most Disliked

Occasionally, the popularity of Chish’n’fips leads to longer wait times, especially during peak dinner hours. This bustling environment can overwhelm some visitors, making a takeaway option more appealing. While the majority of offerings receive rave reviews, some may find the selection limited if they are seeking specifically non-fish options, despite there being vegetarian and chicken dishes. Additionally, for those seeking a more serene dining experience, the outdoor seating may not provide the same level of quiet ambiance as other local eateries. Lastly, though ample street parking is available, some may prefer dedicated parking since the nearby street spots can fill up quickly during busy evenings.

Best Fish & Chips! And best Mushy Peas in all of UK. This place has a great variety on the menu! I have a gluten free diet & eat no red meat. They were so kind to grill a quarter of a chicken for me, to meet my dietary restrictions. Mostly they serve take out, but we ate on the bench out front. Great food & people!

What an amazing chip shop. We visited Llandudno for the fireworks and had to sample the local fish and chips. We were advised to visit here and they didn’t fail to deliver. The staff were amazing so helpful and welcoming, good interaction and a good sing along lead by Lisa. Amazing cooked food by Lisa and her crew all amazing and professional. Chips were cooked to perfection and the fish lovely and fresh. Portion size just right, maybe a bit bigger than expected so sharing may be an option. Thanks chish & fips- and the staff working Saturday at 5.40pm it’s been a pleasure 🤩🤩🤩🤩

The most divine and crispy fish and chips that ever was. We got 1 large fish and chips with curry sauce which was enough for 2 of us sharing but I could have definitely eaten more out of gluttony! So delicious. It's always busy for a reason. Great customer service too. Please open a branch in Leicester 🤣 thanks for a lovely meal. Highly recommend!

This was the best fish and chips we’ve ever had. The fry was perfect, great tasting batter, and the fish tasted fresh. The chips stayed crispy even under the fish on our walk back to the hotel. Plus some friendly conversation and us made travelers feel at ease. A great fish and chip shop in a great town.

Called in with my lad for dinner and so glad we did. Lovely chatting to Ben while he made our enormous cod, chips and home made mushy peas that we had long been craving since arriving from Australia. If you’re staying nearby, or even passing through, make sure you go here.

Just here in Llandudno for one night, we got fish and chips here as it was close to our hotel. Excellent food, great service and they even let Bertie Basseteait inside and gave him a sausage. Bertie loves sausages and ate the lot, as we ate all our food too. Thank you for your excellent service.

Very nice people in this chippy shop. The fish is fantastic, with a nicely crispy batter and thick, juicy fillet. The portion of chips is very large and incredibly tasty. One of the best chippies we've eaten at during our travels through the UK.
